The Bitcoin price in UAE fell toward AED 283,000 on October 30, 2026, as a sharp sell-off in artificial intelligence stocks spread into cryptocurrencies and forced leveraged traders to close bullish positions.
Bitcoin dropped from above AED 300,000 earlier in the week to approximately AED 283,000, equivalent to roughly $77,000. BTC/USD briefly traded below that level before attempting a modest recovery, leaving the cryptocurrency at its weakest price in more than a month.

Because the UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar, changes in BTC/AED closely follow movements in BTC/USD.
At a Bitcoin price of $77,000, one BTC is worth approximately AED 282,783. Actual prices may vary slightly between UAE exchanges because of trading spreads, liquidity and platform fees.
Bitcoin Market Level | Approximate Price in AED |
|---|---|
BTC at $82,000 | AED 301,145 |
BTC at $80,000 | AED 293,800 |
BTC at $77,000 | AED 282,783 |
BTC at $75,000 | AED 275,438 |
BTC at $72,000 | AED 264,420 |
Bitcoin fell 4.2% on October 29 after opening near $81,341 and closing around $77,937. During the latest session, it traded as low as approximately $76,500 before recovering toward $77,000 to $78,000.
The move means a UAE investor holding one Bitcoin experienced a paper decline of approximately AED 14,000 to AED 15,000 in less than two days.
The initial pressure came from global technology stocks as investors reassessed the returns generated by record AI infrastructure spending.
The Nasdaq Composite declined 1.4% on Thursday, while the S&P 500 fell 0.3%. Alphabet suffered a double-digit decline following earnings, while Amazon, Micron, Broadcom and Nvidia also moved lower.
Alphabet alone removed almost 50 points from the S&P 500. The company’s results intensified concerns that major technology groups are spending heavily on AI data centres without delivering sufficiently rapid revenue or profit growth.
Bitcoin increasingly trades like a high-volatility technology asset during periods of market stress. When investors reduce exposure to AI stocks and other growth investments, cryptocurrencies frequently experience similar selling because both depend heavily on liquidity and risk appetite.
AI-linked crypto tokens were hit even harder. NEAR declined approximately 7.8%, while Bittensor’s TAO dropped more than 3% during the initial sell-off. Ether, Solana and several decentralised finance tokens also underperformed Bitcoin.
Bitcoin’s break below $80,000 triggered forced selling across cryptocurrency derivatives markets.
Liquidations eventually exceeded $1.5 billion over 24 hours, affecting more than 246,000 traders. Approximately $1.34 billion came from long positions, indicating that the majority of losses were suffered by traders expecting cryptocurrency prices to rise.
The largest reported liquidation was an $11.09 million Bitcoin-USDT position. As exchanges automatically closed undercollateralised positions, those forced sales pushed prices lower and triggered additional liquidations.
Ether declined more than 5% to approximately $2,190, while XRP lost around 7%. BNB also fell sharply as crypto-specific security concerns compounded the broader risk-off move.
The technology sell-off was not the only factor weighing on Bitcoin.
A reported security breach at Binance intensified the decline late Thursday. The exchange temporarily suspended some activity while investigating the incident and said it would cover customer losses.
Bitcoin fell below $77,000 after news of the breach emerged, while BNB experienced a steeper decline because of its direct connection to the Binance ecosystem.
The incident renewed concerns about exchange security and counterparty risk. Although the attack was not related to the Bitcoin network itself, major exchange breaches can cause investors to withdraw funds, reduce leverage and sell digital assets until the scale of the damage becomes clearer.
US spot Bitcoin ETF flows have remained mixed rather than uniformly negative.
The products recorded a modest net outflow of approximately $11.1 million on October 29, although total flows over the previous seven days remained positive at around $163.8 million. BlackRock’s IBIT attracted $136 million during the latest session, but withdrawals from ARK 21Shares’ ARKB and Grayscale’s funds offset most of that demand.
Continued institutional inflows could help stabilise Bitcoin once forced selling subsides. However, ETF demand has not yet been strong enough to prevent the price from falling alongside technology stocks.
AED 280,000 is the first important support area for Bitcoin in the UAE. A sustained break below it would place AED 275,000 in focus, corresponding to approximately $75,000.
Below that level, the next major support zone is around AED 264,000, equivalent to BTC/USD at $72,000.
On the upside, Bitcoin must first recover AED 294,000, or $80,000, to reduce immediate selling pressure. A move above AED 301,000 would represent a recovery of $82,000 and suggest that buyers are regaining control.
The near-term Bitcoin price in UAE will depend on whether the AI stock sell-off stabilises, Binance restores confidence and institutional investors continue buying through spot Bitcoin ETFs.
